Are you tired of roasted turkey recipes that need to be constantly basted? The HERB ROASTED TURKEY BREAST is easy to make and requires no basting. Just use olive oil and seasonings, put the turkey breast in the oven, and the next thing you know, you have a moist, tasty turkey entree.
Tips & Tricks for perfecting Classic Herb Roasted Turkey Breast
I personally like to use a turkey breast that is fresh from the butcher department versus frozen. If you do get a frozen turkey breast make sure you have plenty of time to thaw the frozen turkey breast. Use whatever thawing directions are on the frozen package.
You can also make this recipe with a boneless turkey breast, however it will cook faster so adjust your timer and maybe even your oven temperature.
You can change the spices and seasonings if you like. Sometimes I like to use Thyme and Sage to mix it up a bit!
The key to this recipe is using the olive oil. Use your favorite olive oil or flavored olive oil for this recipe. You do not need to baste the turkey Breast. If it seems as if the baking pan is getting dry, put a little water in the bottom of the pan.
I like to use a roasting pan that has a grill in it. I keeps the turkey breast skin crispier.

My mom can be credited with the giving me the idea to put olive oil on the outside of the turkey breast instead of butter. It works like a charm. It roasts perfectly and you do not baste the turkey breast – YAHOO! One less thing to worry about while making a holiday meal.
