A fresh, light delicious Chocolate Cherry Cake with a modern cherry twist!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Devil’s food or chocolate cake
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp almond extract/flavor

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease (and flour if you like) a 13×9 inch pan
  3. Mix cake mix, cherry pie filling, eggs and almond extract by hand in a bowl
  4. Pour batter into the greased 13×9 pan
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted into center comes out clean
  6. Frost with EASY CHOCOLATE FROSTING
  7. Cool and then serve
